Your magic-making, memory freezer

Your days are filled with running kids to all the things, meeting their needs, running up to school, cooking, cleaning, and caring your heart out. So let’s just take a deep breath and pause. Even though it feels like this season will never end, there will come a day when you look back and realize - you did it all. (and you aren’t even sure how or where the time went!)

What you need is a way to freeze time so you won’t forget. It’s those little things - the space in their smile from a missing tooth, freckled noses, just how tiny and cute they are, and all those moments in between the chaos of mom-ing.

And that is where I come in… Your magic-making memory freezer - also known as a lifestyle photographer.

I am so glad you asked! I would love to tell you. I really feel like this is one of the biggest successes to my photo sessions. Often I have heard parents worry that their kids will:
a) not last for a full session
b) won’t cooperate for a session.
And that really isn’t an issue, and here is why… The kids are “in charge” at the session. We are going to follow their cues, their interest, and do the things they think are fun. It might feel like they aren’t doing what you would expect them to do at a photo session. But trust me…. I have been doing this a long long time. (17 years!). I am not trying to make them smile at me. I want them to enjoy you, enjoy each other, and enjoy the setting where we are. And you know what happens when kids are enjoying all those things? They smile, they laugh, and they have a good time. As I am sure you can tell by now, my style is not posed, sit and be still photography. I learned photography on my own children many years ago, and their specialty was not looking at the camera. I have a very laid back approach to our sessions, and I want you to know that it will be ok.

Working with Anna is great from start to finish. She is very skilled and patient, both very important traits when working with families with young children. I have always been blown away by the quality of pictures I receive from my sessions. Highly recommend!
