And you are busy thinking of all the things you want to do to celebrate this amazing year with your sweet little one! – Or maybe you have not even started planning yet. Either way, a first birthday cake smash session is something you are going to want to put on your MUST DO list for a first birthday (or even second). Trust me, momma! You will not regret this one!
This is really two sessions is one. First we will start with just you and your sweet one year old. After all, you also have changed this year right along with your baby as a first time mom or even if this isn’t your fist time as a mom. These are very laid back and zero pressure. Just you, your sweet baby, and me.
After we get some pictures of just the birthday baby, I will bring the cake out. Some one year olds are all about the cake and some are not so sure. Either way it is fine! Most babies really like the fruit on top even if they don’t want to eat the cake.
That depends on what you intend to do with the photos. (other than love them because they are so freaking cute!). BUT – if you want to use the photos for a birthday invitation or to display at the party, I would suggest booking your session about a 6 weeks prior to the date.
Many of my clients have gotten some really cute outfits on www.etsy.com. Another quick and easy place is Amazon. It could be something simple like this little one piece for a girl. If you are wanting something fancier something like this might be what you are looking for. Here are some ideas for boys’ outfits. This little one piece always photographs well. The Little Planet line from Carter’s have some of my favorite pieces because they are simple but classic. Once you session is booked we will talk more about outfits so that your session will be perfect!
